About the Role:
We’re seeking a proactive Prequalifications and Sales Engineer to support sales initiatives and manage the prequalification process in the gas distribution industry. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background in gas systems, experience with project bidding processes, and a strong ability to build client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Prequalification & Tendering: Prepare and submit prequalification documents, vendor registrations, and EOIs. Coordinate with internal teams to compile technical, financial, and legal documentation, and track prequalification statuses.
✔ Sales & Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, conduct technical presentations, and propose tailored solutions to clients. Negotiate and close deals while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
✔ Client & Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with key clients, consultants, and government authorities (e.g., ADNOC, DEWA, SEWA). Support project initiation phases, including site visits and technical discussions.
✔ Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records of sales activities, manage submission timelines, and ensure compliance with legal, health, safety, and environmental standards. Provide regular sales reports and pipeline forecasts.
Key Qualifications:
■ Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
■ Experience: 3–7 years in prequalifications, sales, or business development in the gas, oil & energy, or utility sectors.
■ Expertise:
• Strong knowledge of gas distribution systems and local authority requirements (e.g., UAE Civil Defense, ADSSC, ADDC).
• Familiarity with UAE tendering procedures and local market dynamics.
■ Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, and document management tools.
■ License: UAE driving license preferred.
■ Languages: Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
